Abstract: | This paper discussed about the signed into law the Petroleum Industrial Act (PIA) by President Muhammadu Buhari in August 2021. In addition, the paper also discuss on the creation of a conducive environment for the petroleum operators in Nigeria, create regulatory and policy institutions, relationship between society and investors, Establish an innovative mechanism to fund petroleum host communities directly through trust funds and transparency and accountability in the sector. |
