Fuel modelling is a priority within the IAEA sub-programme “Nuclear Power Reactor Fuel Engineering”. Development and verification of computer codes are possible based on good experiments that requires very expensive and carefully executed in-reactor tests and postirradiation studies. That is why international cooperation in this area is highly desirable. IAEA supports interested Member States in their efforts to enhance the capacities of their computer codes used for predicting fuel behaviour.en_US
