Description: The objective of this Safety Guide is to provide recommendations on meeting the relevant requirements established in Specific Safety Requirement (SSR‑4) [2], as well as in Specific Safety Requirement (SSR‑6) (Rev. 1) [3] (see para. 1.13), in respect of the following; Ensuring and demonstrating subcriticality under operational states and under conditions referred to as ‘credible abnormal conditions’ or ‘conditions included in the design basis’; (b) Estimating the credible consequences of a potential criticality accident; (c) Minimizing the consequences if a criticality accident were to occur.
